On the Northern End of the Island

The locals are actually planting a rice field while the area is hosting a scarecrow making contest. All the materials for the scarecrows needed to be out of natural or recycled materials. It was interesting that the field came out in a nice grid, seemingly without any measuring!

Steve shows us the latest odd sign, apparently a "Happy Crab Crossing."

Like Ecuador, there is a section of the island similar to a tropical rain forest, complete with waterfall. The climb up did have everyone's legs hurting and tight the next day.

The performers were out in the plaza, doing the traditional dance with drums.

The Shisa come in all shapes, sizes, and colors to protect and guard your home!
